This Thursday, July 21st, the House of Representatives is voting on the Right to Contraception Act. This legislation is designed to protect the right to access birth control into federal law. That includes types of contraception like the pill, IUDs, and Plan B. It also ensures that our health care providers have the right to provide birth control and medical information about a full range of contraception methods.

It seems unbelievable that we need to protect this basic right, but with the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade, it’s clear — all our rights are on the line. We need to protect our reproductive rights and freedom, including our right to birth control.

Call your representative now and tell them to vote YES on the Right to Contraception Act — and get a friend to do the same!

Call the number above, or follow these instructions:

1.) Enter your phone number, state, and zip code in the form on this page and click “Call me!”

2.) Within 1 minute, you’ll receive a phone call from a 202 number. You’ll hear a message from us, and then we’ll connect you to your representative's office.

3.) When a staff member answers the phone, use the script below.

4.) That’s all you need to say! But if you have a personal story that could impact representative's decision, please share that too.

What to Say (Call Script)

Hi, my name is __________, and I live in ___________.

I'm calling to ask my representative to vote YES on the Right to Contraception Act and all bold legislation needed to guarantee our reproductive rights.

This is a critical moment to protect ALL of our reproductive rights. A strong majority of Americans agree that birth control is a basic form of health care, and the science is clear that birth control serves critical health care functions. This is not controversial: your constituents expect elected officials to fight for our rights, including ensuring that we have the right to obtain the birth control method of our choice.

This issue is important to me because [add your own story, if you like].

I expect my representative to support all efforts to protect sexual and reproductive health care, including the basic right to birth control.

Thank you for your time.

Enter your phone number, address and zip code to be connected to your Representative. You’ll hear a message from us and then we’ll connect you. Tell the staff member who answers that your Representative needs to vote YES on the Right to Contraception Act. If you have a personal story, please share that too.
