Is it normal to have sores come up around your vagina when your cycle come?

A few different things can cause sores around your vagina. It could be something like a yeast infection or an allergic reaction to the pads or tampons you’re using. Or it could be an STD, like herpes.  But there’s no way to know for sure what’s going on unless you see a nurse or doctor.

Anytime you have sores, blisters, or pain in your vulva or vagina, see a nurse or doctor, like the ones at Planned Parenthood. And don’t be scared or embarrassed: nurses and doctors have seen it all. It’s their job to help you feel better.
