How unsafe is it to use the birth control pill Levora if a friend got it for me?
When a health care provider writes you a prescription for birth control, she or he takes your health and medical history into consideration. It’s a bad idea to use someone else’s birth control pill. Not all birth control pills are alike. There are different formulas suited for different people. Your friend’s pills might be too strong or too weak for you. Also, while most women can use birth control pills safely, certain conditions can increase the risk of serious side effects and serious health problems for some women. That’s why it’s important to talk to a health care provider before you start taking the pill.
