Does alcohol make your birth control less effective?

Can drinking alcohol and taking birth control at the same time, reduce the job of the birth control to work property???

No. Used correctly, birth control works the same way whether you have alcohol in your system or not.

However, if you have sex when you’re drunk or high, you’re much less likely to be thinking clearly enough to use birth control such as condoms, or use them correctly. So mixing sex with alcohol or other drugs can increase the chances of unintended pregnancy and exposure to sexually transmitted infections.
