can/ is it ok for girls take birth control even if they are not sexually active?
It’s absolutely okay for someone to take birth control even if they aren’t sexually active. Women often choose to take the pill, or to use the patch or the ring, for benefits like protection against acne, cramps, heavy periods, and some premenstrual symptoms like headaches and depression. Lots of people also like the fact that hormonal birth control can make your menstrual cycle more regular.
Different kinds of birth control can offer different kinds of benefits, so talk with your health care provider about what kind of birth control might be best for you. You can make an appointment at your local Planned Parenthood health center to talk about all this stuff.
