An annual exam is a yearly reprodutive health visit with your health care provider. Also known as well-woman visits or gynecological exams, the annual exam may involve checking your height, weight and blood pressure. It's also a chance to talk to your doctor about your period, birth control, STI testing and other aspects of your sexual health.
Your doctor may also ask questions about your medical history and health behaviors, such as your allergies or smoking and drinking habits. Be honest, so your provider can give you the best health care possible.
