Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon! Volunteers are an important part of Planned Parenthood. Their support makes it possible for us to meet the growing need for health services and education in our community. 

Volunteer opportunities include: supporting staff with special events, administrative projects, fundraising efforts, community outreach, and education programs.  

 

We are currently seeking volunteers for Health Center Escorts:

Health Center Escorts provide safe and dignified access to PPSO Health Centers for all clients and their companions and de-escalate potentially hostile situations. The purpose of escorts is to provide a visibly welcoming presence outside the health center, to reassure and support the clients, and to escort clients into the health center.  

As an escort, you are fulfilling a very important function. In addition to the larger issues of defending reproductive rights — a person’s right to choose and access to services and information, you are also protecting our patients’ well-being.

Health Center Escorts are instrumental to the operations at PPSO, and we are so grateful for your support and willingness to volunteer with us.
