“Sex Ed Boot Camp really challenged me to consider how my own sexuality has been shaped which will then allow me to better assist and provide teens with important information regarding their sexuality.” SEBC participant
Difficult questions. Awkward answers. Embarrassing moments. Talking with young people about sexual issues can be challenging. That’s where Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon’s Sex Ed Boot Camp (SEBC) provides support! SEBC helps teachers and other professionals educate and communicate with youth about this complex topic: sex.
This two-day workshop helps youth-facing professionals to provide positive, accurate, and age-appropriate sex education in a variety of school and community settings. Participants build knowledge, skills and increase comfort as an approachable resources for young people around sexual health issues. Resulting in increasing the network of “askable” adults who are prepared and available to youth in our communities.
