“Sex Ed Boot Camp really challenged me to consider how my own sexuality has been shaped which will then allow me to better assist and provide teens with important information regarding their sexuality.” - SEBC participant
STAY ACTIVE. STAY RELEVANT. STAY ENGAGED.
Difficult questions. Awkward answers. Embarrassing moments. Talking with young people about sexual issues can be challenging. That’s where Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon’s Sex Ed Boot Camp (SEBC) provides support! SEBC helps teachers and other professionals educate and communicate with youth about this complex topic: sex.
This virtual workshop helps youth-facing professionals learn to provide positive, accurate, and age-appropriate sex education in a variety of school and community settings. Participants build knowledge, skills and increase comfort as an approachable resource for young people around sexual health issues. SEBC works to increase the network of “askable” adults who are prepared and available to answer challenging questions related to sexual and reproductive health for youth in our communities.
Sex Ed Boot Camp is not a curriculum-specific training. 2021 dates announced soon!
