“Sex Ed Boot Camp really challenged me to consider how my own sexuality has been shaped which will then allow me to better assist and provide teens with important information regarding their sexuality.” SEBC participant
Difficult questions. Awkward answers. Embarrassing moments. Talking with kids about sex is never easy. That’s where Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon’s Sex Ed Boot Camp (SEBC) provides support! SEBC helps teachers and other professionals educate and communicate with youth about this often-tough topic: sex.
This two-day workshop is designed to help professionals who work with young people to develop the fundamental skills necessary to provide positive, accurate, and age-appropriate sexuality education in a variety of school and community settings. Participants will build knowledge, skills and comfort to be an approachable resource for young people around sexual health issues. And thus, increase the network of “askable” adults who are prepared and available to youth in our communities.
Sex Ed Boot Camp is not a curriculum-specific training.
