Telehealth through Planned Parenthood

Visit our new Virtual Health Center to get the same, high-quality care via video chat in the comfort of your home! It’s fast, easy, and completely private. We're now offering telehealth for a variety of services, including birth control, STI/UTI screening and treatment, gender-affirming care, and more.

Give us a call to make an appointment or learn more about which services are available in your area.

Telehealth is a virtual visit between you and one of our providers.

You will need access to an internet connection through a device with video capability (computer, smart phone, or tablet), and a private space for your virtual visit.

NOTICE: If you are scheduling an appointment for November 1, 2023 or later, you will need to create a MyChart patient portal account and install the app if you're using your smartphone.

The current crisis makes virtual care solutions like telehealth an indispensable tool as COVID-19 spreads across US communities. During this state of emergency, insurance carriers such as Aetna, Avmed, BCBS, United Healthcare, and Medicaid, will continue to cover telehealth services provided through live, two-way communication, as medically necessary. These services are covered with little to no copayment depending on your insurance plan.

For your privacy, we will not video record or screen capture during your virtual visit.

Download the MyChart app to access our Virtual Health Center for your visit.

You can also join from your browser by visiting MyPlannedParenthoodChart.org.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much will telehealth cost?

It varies. Your telehealth visit may be free or low cost with health insurance. But some insurance plans don’t cover all sexual and reproductive health services. Some plans may charge less for certain services depending on your income. When you contact your local Planned Parenthood health center and make your telehealth appointment, you'll learn more about specific costs. Our staff work hard to provide the services you need, whether you have insurance or not. They may help you get care that you can afford.

What services can I get through telehealth?

We offer telehealth for the following services so we can continue to provide care — no matter what:

Can I get an abortion with telehealth?

We are not providing abortion care services through telehealth. Please call or make an appointment online at a health center near you.

Will my telehealth visit be private?

Yes. Just like when you visit a Planned Parenthood for a health care appointment in person, your telehealth appointment will be private. Make sure to find a quiet, well lit, private space on your end for your telehealth visit.

Can I have my telehealth visit in another language?

Yes! Spanish speaking staff and translation services for other languages are available for your telehealth visit.

How soon can I get a telehealth appointment?

Waiting times vary by health center and the service you need. We will do our best to provide you care promptly on a schedule that works for you!
