HIV Services

For complex reasons, HIV impacts some communities, including the LGBTQ+ community, more than others. Planned Parenthood is committed to helping everyone access the sexual health care they need.

We provide a range of services to help prevent HIV and support HIV positive individuals and their partners.

  • HIV testing, education, and referral

  • PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) for those who have had possible exposure to HIV, to prevent HIV infection

  • PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) for HIV-negative people to reduce their chance of HIV infection. As of July 2021, PrEP will now be totally free under all insurance plans.

  • If you live in Greater Minnesota, you may qualify for a free HIV test thanks to a grant through the Minnesota Department of Health. Learn more: ppncs.org/freetest
