Accessing birth control should be as easy as ABC.

PPIL's Access Birth Control (ABC) initiative is providing free birth control to eligible patients so they can get the most effective method that's right for them, no matter what.

Are you eligible?

Any patient who is facing financial barriers paying for their birth control method is eligible.

This includes patients who:

  • Are insured but have a high, unmet deductible
  • Have insurance that does not include birth control coverage
  • Have insurance coverage under their parent/guardian but have confidentiality concerns
  • Are uninsured individuals who pay out of pocket
  • Are ineligible for public coverage (Medicaid), including undocumented immigrants
How long is the ABC initiative?

The ABC initiative will run through at least December 2023.

What birth control methods are available for free?

ABC covers the device and insertion (if applicable) for the following methods:

  • IUD and Implant
  • Oral Contraceptive Pills
  • Birth Control Shot
  • Vaginal Ring
  • Condoms

ABC does not cover the cost of your visit or any other services received (example: STI testing, UTI treatment, etc). These services may be covered by your insurance.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, you can call 877-200-7745 to make an appointment. Please let the staff know you are inquiring about ABC initiative and want free birth control!

"As a young woman, I wasn’t quite sure how to access birth control and Planned Parenthood was there to help me. Birth control pills were a monthly expense that seemed daunting to a college kid already burdened with student loans and a full work load. And I turned to Planned Parenthood to help me fill the prescriptions I needed."  - Souris H.
