Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas (PPGT) is offering a Public Affairs Leadership Program for young people ages 18-25 years old. Participants will volunteer at least 10-12 hours a week for eight weeks at PPGT offices in Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Waco or Lubbock. Those selected for the program will work in collaboration with PPGT staff to learn more about working at a nonprofit organization, support and conduct outreach and engagement activities, and help with events and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings and training sessions with staff to gain a better understanding of Planned Parenthood’s mission and the day-to-day operations of the organization. 

  • Work with PPGT staff in the development and implementation of volunteer events.

  • Effectively represent PPGT at public/community events and supervise volunteers in doing the same. Work with PPGT staff in the development and implementation of volunteer events.

  • Evening and weekend work is occasionally required. Perform other related duties as necessary.
