Thank you for supporting An Evening with Planned Parenthood Fort Worth 2020.
For the health and safety of all attendees, we will not be able to convene together on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. We are working on an alternate plan and will update you with more information in the coming weeks.
Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas is committed to our mission of providing healthcare no matter what. We wanted to share with you our efforts to address the unprecedented circumstances in our community regarding COVID-19. During this crisis, our role remains essential to the health of thousands of Texans. Our patients cannot wait if they have an infection, a lump in their breast or an unintended pregnancy. Our dedicated health center staff are on the front lines serving patients who are grateful our health centers are open. The health and safety of our patients and staff are top priority, so we are in constant contact with the WHO, CDC, and state health department to ensure we are using the latest guidance in our health centers. This includes limiting our available services to urgent needs only, carefully screening for COVID symptoms, practicing social distancing in waiting rooms, and other measures.
To meet the needs of patients sheltering-in-place or without a Planned Parenthood health center nearby, we are expanding our telemedicine services. Planned Parenthood Direct, our telemedicine app, provides a way to get the birth control pill, patch and ring, and urinary tract infection (UTI) treatment, without the need for an in-clinic visit. Our health experts are also available to provide private, secure video conference consultations by appointment. Our education and advocacy programs remain essential and haven’t stopped during this crisis. We are using innovation to pivot our programs to virtual spaces to keep important resources available, respond to breaking news, and continue to support our mission.
Your financial support makes this work possible.
Thank you for standing with Planned Parenthood.
