Our Leadership

Meet our President & CEO

Erica Wilson-Domer (she/her) is the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio (PPGOH) and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio (PPAO). Erica has been a part of PPGOH for over two decades and is an accomplished, visionary, and transformational leader within the reproductive health care space. Erica’s vision is to break down barriers and provide access to equitable, high-quality, and empowering health care and sex education for all Ohioans.

Erica first served as a board member and Community Leadership Council Chair for Planned Parenthood in Northeast Ohio and Planned Parenthood Affiliates of Ohio. Then, she joined the PPGOH team full-time, serving in multiple roles including Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. She has dedicated her career to ensuring PPGOH puts its communities first and addresses inequities so we can provide Ohioans with the care they deserve.

She has over 20 years of experience in health care finance, having previously worked in the public accounting, hospital, and private insurance payer sectors. Prior to working at PPGOH, Erica worked as an Internal Audit Manager & Fraud Officer at AultCare. In this role, she developed a true understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, trending, auditing internal processes, and identifying areas of risk and remediation. Erica’s private sector experience also includes serving as a Physician Financial Analyst with Alliance Community Hospital.

Her volunteer service includes serving in leadership roles with a diverse group of nonprofit organizations. She served on the Planning Committee with Stark County Job & Family Services, as Board Treasurer for BetterHealth A Planned Parenthood Partnership, as Board Treasurer with GlenOak Soccer Booster Club, and as a Board Member with LifeCare Family Health and Dental Center. Erica is also a graduate of the 18th class of Leadership Stark County.

Erica received her Master of Science in Accounting, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and Certificate of Women’s Studies from Kent State University.

Lauren Blauvelt | CEAO

Lauren Blauvelt

Lauren Blauvelt (she/her) is the Executive Director at Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio (PPAO) and Chief External Affairs Officer at Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio (PPGOH). She has been with Planned Parenthood for over 14 years, starting as an intern and then organizer with Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio, and then State Field Director for PPAO. Lauren directs policy, advocacy, and communications for Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio and all electoral campaigns for Planned Parenthood Votes Ohio. She is Treasurer of State Public Affairs Network, which represents public affairs staff across Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Lauren led the victorious reproductive rights ballot initiative as co-chair for Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights and was named to Time Magazine 100 Most Influential People in the World 2024 List for her leadership.

Lee Bower | CFO

Lee Bower (he/him) is the Chief Financial Officer for Planned Parenthood Greater Ohio. He has 12 years of non-profit financial leadership experience and nine within the Planned Parenthood family. Lee started his career in public accounting and eventually moved into non-profit to have a more fulfilling career path. He is on the board and finance committee of Caracole, a Cincinnati based HIV service organization.

Mary Chenevert | Director

Mary Chenevert (she/her) is the Director of Executive and Corporate Affairs at Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio (PPGOH). She brings more than 30 years of experience in the executive support space to the organization. Mary joined PPGOH in 2014 and serves as the Board liaison for the PPGOH Board of Directors and oversees the operations of the executive office.

Melissa Cohen | General Counsel

Melissa Cohen (she/her) is the General Counsel at Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio. She leads the organization's legal work. This includes providing support and advice to all departments, helping to ensure the organization is compliant, and leading litigation efforts. Melissa’s previous experience includes litigation work at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and child welfare law at Children’s Rights in New York.

Diego Espino | Chief People, Equity, and Learning Officer

Diego Espino (he/him/él) is the Chief People, Equity, and Learning Officer at PPGOH. He has been with the organization since 2004 and oversees the areas of human resources; diversity, equity, and inclusion; organizational development; and the Ohio Center for Sex Education. Diego previously served as PPGOH’s Vice President of Community Engagement. He is a member of the Association of Planned Parenthood Leaders in Education and co-author of a peer-reviewed paper on evaluation of comprehensive sexuality education programs in the Family Science Review.

Bhavik Kumar, MD, MPH | CMO

Bhavik Kumar, MD, MPH (he/him) is a board-certified family medicine physician. He has been an abortion provider in his home state of Texas since 2015. He completed medical school at Texas Tech University HSC, residency training at Montefiore Medical Center, and a Fellowship in Family Planning at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in the Bronx, NY. Bhavik is an outspoken advocate for abortion and trans care access in the media and in the courts. He started as a staff physician at our Bedford Heights health center in 2023 and joined us the Chief Medical Officer in July, 2024. He also serves on the boards for the Society of Family Planning and Equality Federation.

Melissa Perez Ramirez | VP of Development

Melissa Perez Ramirez (she/her) is the Vice President of Development for Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio (PPGOH). Melissa is an award-winning nonprofit leader with over 15 years of experience in relationship building, strategic planning, and developing staff to support organizations’ missions. Melissa leads PPGOH’s philanthropic strategic vision and action plan, inspiring support and engagement from the Planned Parenthood community.

Neesha Pitts | VP of Strategic Initiatives and Community Engagement

Neesha Pitts (she/her) is the VP of Strategic Initiatives and Community Engagement. Over the past 15 years, she has held various leadership roles throughout Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, with most of her tenure connected to direct patient care, clinical operations and abortion services. Neesha develops and implements innovative ways to expand health care access for communities facing barriers to care. In this role, she leads efforts to integrate health strategy design principles into everyday operations, while collaborating with internal and external partners to assess programs, explore new service offerings, and drive organizational improvements that advance equity in health care.
