Planned Parenthood Great Plains Hosts One-Day Vasectomy Clinic in Rogers with Low to No-Cost Care for Every Patient
For Immediate Release: April 11, 2024
With affordable pricing options for all, Planned Parenthood Great Plains (PPGP) will host a one-day vasectomy clinic at its Rogers Health Center on April 13, in an effort to expand access to essential reproductive health care services including a highly-effective, permanent form of contraception. The one-day clinic will offer vasectomy procedures at a flat fee of $250, with options for no-cost care for those who qualify – all made possible in part because of the support of generous donors.
With a greater than 99% effectiveness rate, a vasectomy is a permanent, non-reversible form of contraception. The cost of the procedure ranges from $750-$1,000, but will be offered for one day at a more than 65% discount. This simple procedure is done via an outpatient clinic at our Rogers location. Patients will have a consultation with the provider ahead of time.
“Expanding access to comprehensive reproductive and sexual health care underscores our commitment to empowering individuals to lead safe and healthy lives while determining what is best for their futures, said Dr. Joshua Yap, physician and director of Vasectomy Care, Planned Parenthood Great Plains. “This one-day clinic brings a crucial family planning option to Rogers, ensuring that anyone can make informed decisions about contraception, reducing the risk of unintended pregnancies.”
Located at 1222 W. Poplar Street, PPGP opened the Rogers Health Center in 2021 to meet the growing patient needs throughout the Northwest Arkansas region. PPGP also has a health center in Little Rock and both clinics see patients for a wide range of services including birth control, STI and HIV testing and treatment, emergency contraception (morning-after pill), pregnancy testing and services, gender-affirming care, and primary care.
PPGP launched vasectomy services last year at its Tulsa, Oklahoma health center and has since expanded to hosting clinics throughout its four-state region which also encompasses Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri.
