Patient Ally Program

The Patient Ally Program is comprised of dedicated volunteers with the mission to provide patient safety and support where protesters are present. Allies can be identified by their designated attire, smiles, and comforting presence in PPGP parking lots and health centers. Sign up for our next training today!

What are the requirements?

We are currently seeking Patient Allies for our Kansas health centers in Overland Park, Kansas City, and Wichita. To be considered as a Patient Ally, you must fill out our volunteer form, complete a background check, attend training, and sign and abide by PPGP's policies and guidelines. During training you will learn non-engagement tactics, how to approach patients, tips for self and fellow care, and more. To successfully fulfill your role, you must be able to withstand the elements outside of the health center (weather, standing at length, verbal harassment, etc.) while maintaining a positive perspective and patient-centered focus.
