Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest Transitioning Issaquah Health Center Patients to New Eastside-Bellevue Health Center

Seattle – Today, Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest (PPGNW) announced that as of January 1, 2015 the Issaquah Health Center has merged with the newly opened Eastside-Bellevue Health Center.

“As we embark upon a new method for delivery of health care at PPGNW, it is important we review our physical locations and stay relevant to the needs of the community,” said Rebecca Poedy, Chief Operating Officer at PPGNW. “Our brand new Eastside-Bellevue Health Center offers leading technology, an In-Person Assister to help enroll in health insurance and a substantial venue with more exam rooms to meet the needs of this densely populated community.”

The Eastside-Bellevue Health Center, located at 14730 NE 8th Street, will offer a comprehensive range of high-quality reproductive health care, including affordable access to birth control, well-woman exams, breast and cervical cancer screening, emergency contraception, sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment, abortion services, as well as sexual health education and information.

PPGNW will offer a seamless transition to the new location and patients will have no lapse in service. The Eastside-Bellevue Health Center is open five days a week – Monday through Friday.

Patients can also take advantage of PPGNW’s online health services to schedule appointments, or receive mail-order contraceptives and test kits for sexually transmitted infections via webcam.

Merging the Issaquah Health Center with the Eastside-Bellevue Health Center is part of a larger plan to expand access to quality health care for the broader community in Western Washington.
