What Does Defunding Planned Parenthood Mean?

The topic of defunding when it comes to Planned Parenthood can be complicated and hard to talk about. There are sadly some states that have already been successful in defunding Planned Parenthood, giving us a horrifying glimpse into the effects of closing down sexual and reproductive health centers. A brief overview of these effects can be viewed here.

What YOU Can Do About It

PPFA has created a toolkit to guide supporters in hosting their own events to advocate and/or fundraise for Planned Parenthood. The toolkit includes information regarding Planned Parenthood’s services, what defunding means, what has happened in states that have defunded Planned Parenthood, how to invite and engage your community, and how to give the proceeds from the event.
