Your estate includes anything you own or have control over. It can be the equity in your house, your retirement accounts, a business, or proceeds of a life insurance policy. Or it can be stock and appreciated securities, tangible personal property, or real estate.
You can establish a bequest of a specific amount, specific asset, or all or part of the property remaining in your estate after debts, expenses, and specific bequests are paid. If you would like to make such a gift to Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania, your attorney may wish to include language similar to the following:
"I give, devise and bequeath to Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania, or its successor, now or formerly located at 933 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, a gift of ($_____ or _____ percent of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate), to be used for its general purposes."
