The Virginia Sexuality Network aims to create a brave space for community members, professionals, and advocates across Virginia to explore, support, and promote a complex understanding of sex, sexual health, sexualities, gender, and pleasure. Advocates for Youth works alongside thousands of young people here in the U.S. and around the globe as they fight for sexual health, rights, and justice. 

Equality Virginia

Equality Virginia (EV) is a 501(c)(3) organization that understands that LGBTQ Virginians, from youth to seniors, continue to experience violence, discrimination, and disparities, particularly transgender people and people of color. 

Planned Parenthood Action Fund

PPAF supports issues that maintain and expand access to reproductive health, including comprehensive sex education! Learn more about how to get involved and bring comprehensive sex ed to your school or community.

Planned Parenthood Generation Action

Planned Parenthood Generation Action Network is a network of young organizers and activists across the country who organize events on their campuses and in their communities to mobilize advocates for reproductive freedom; in addition to raising public awareness about reproductive health and rights, educating young people about sexual health, and creating lasting change in those communities.

SIECUS: Sex Ed for Social Change

SIECUS advocates for the rights of all people to access and enjoy accurate and comprehensive sexuality information, education, and related health services. The Community Action Toolkit (CAT) offers tools to become knowledgeable about sex education, build support in your state or community, implement sound policies, and institute or defend effective sex education programs that support and affirm young people’s right to honest information. SIECUS also convenes the Sex Education Policy Action Council (SEPAC) which is a membership-based group made up of sex education advocacy organizations nationwide. 

The Virgina Coalition for Sex Education Reform (VACSER)

VACSER is a coalition of partner organizations, advocacy networks, community groups, and individual citizens in support of the idea that all children in Virginia have a right to medically accurate, age appropriate, comprehensive, and inclusive sex education.
