Fenway Health Helpline

Fenway Health provides information, help, and referrals to LGBT callers. They also have a peer listening line.

GLBT National Help Center

The GLBT National Help Center provides telephone, online chat, and email peer- support. They speak with callers of all ages about bullying, workplace issues, HIV/AIDS anxiety, coming out, relationships, safer sex, and more.

Greater Richmond Regional Hotline

Provides help with crisis intervention, emergency shelter, counseling, case management, hospital-based services, and support. Serves anyone in the Richmond region, including Richmond, Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover, Goochland, Hopewell, King William, Charles City, King and Queen Counties, and New Kent. Services available in English and Spanish.

National Suicide Prevention LGBTQ+ Lifeline

This lifeline has information and resources for yourself and to help support loved ones who are LGBTQ+.

THRIVE Lifeline

If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis and need to chat with a qualified LGBTQIA+ crisis responder, our partners at THRIVE Lifeline are here for you. Only for people ages 18+.

Trans Lifeline

Trans Lifeline connects trans people to the community support and resources needed to survive and thrive. They are run by and for trans people. Services available in English and Spanish.

The Trevor Project

A nonjudgmental hotline for those 25 years old and younger with LGBTQ-sensitive trained counselors you can contact during a mental health crisis and/or suicidal thoughts. Services available in English and Spanish.


LGBT elders who want to talk can be connected with friendly responders who are ready to listen. Services available in English and Spanish.

Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance LGBTQ+ Partner Abuse and Sexual Assault Helpline

A space for survivors and people impacted by violence, like friends, family, professionals, and the general public, to connect about LGBTQ+ centered resources.
