Our Future Begins with You

Through a gift in your estate plans, you can support the future of Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi and help to meet the reproductive health needs of our patients for generations to come. Planned giving arrangements can also help you meet your financial goals by reducing your estate taxes and providing you a stream of income for life.

Gifts in Wills

A gift in your estate will both positively impact the thousands of adults and young people who rely on Planned Parenthood, and reduce your federal estate taxes. Your gift may take the form of:

• A specific dollar amount

• A percentage of your overall estate

• Specific property

Suggested bequest language: “I give and bequeath to Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North  Mississippi, a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, with headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, __% of my estate (or the sum of $__ dollars).”

Gifts that Cost You Nothing Now

Making Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi a full or partial beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k), or other qualified retirement plan is easy and flexible and allows you to make a planned gift separate from your will.

In addition, as a tax-exempt organization, we will receive your gift tax free. When left to individuals, as much as 80% of retirement funds may be diminished by federal income taxes.

Simply request a beneficiary form from your plan administrator. On the designation line, write “Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi.”
