Breaking the Boy Code

What is deemed as appropriate behavior for boys often does not reflect current needs. To help the next generation of men, we must “Break the Boy Code.” This workshop will help professionals overcome the stereotypes and expectations we place on boys.

It's Not Too Late: Aging and Sexuality

Life changes can require new expectations for sexuality. It’s Not Too Late encourages participants to identify the issues that have shaped them, re-think their old scripts and consider how to create new and positive ways of being sexual as they age.

Looking for Love: Exploring Teen Adult Relationships

This workshop examines the serious issue of teens dating adults. Looking for Love provides a framework for prevention and provides professionals with the knowledge, skills and tools they need to become part of the solution. 

Making it Better: Bullying Prevention and Intervention that Works

Professionals who work with youth must work to create positive learning environments where respect is the norm and difference is celebrated. This workshop will prepare counselors, social workers, teachers and other professionals who work with youth to reduce bullying in their schools or programs.  

Sex Ed 101: Back to the Basics

This workshop is designed to offer professionals working with youth an introduction to human growth and development, puberty, birth control and sexually transmitted infections. Additionally, participants learn how to utilize effective teaching and counseling strategies that are appropriate to the age, culture and experience of the learner. 

Strategies for Growing Healthy Teens

This workshop examines the most successful approaches to help young people avoid negative outcomes and grow into sexually healthy adults. Our program helps professionals embrace a new view of sexuality education, one that is effective in empowering teens to postpone sexual involvement.

Supporting the LGBTQ Spectrum

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer or questioning (LGBTQ) youth are often faced with challenging environments which can impact their safety, well-being and education. This workshop will introduce and expand on topics of sexual orientation and gender identity. It is designed to give professionals the competency and skills they need to support LGBTQ youth and their families.

What's A LARC? Communicating about Contraception and STIs

This workshop addresses the most effective methods of contraception, especially “Long-Acting Reversible Contraception” (LARC), as well as the most prevalent STIs. In addition to providing updated facts, participants examine best practices for communicating about prevention.
