Teen Action Group
Research tells us that health messages are more powerful when they come from a peer -- someone who looks like you and experiences similar challenges. PPSE’s Teen Action Group trains high school students to provide accurate information about sexual health and help guide their peers in making healthy decisions. Whether in the locker room, the hall between classes, or hanging out after school, PPSE’s Teen Action Group members are trusted sources of medically-accurate information for their communities.
Teen Action Group (TAG) is a peer-led leadership development program made up of high school students across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. TAG members collaborate with fellow teens across the Southeast to learn about sexual health and rights, and to advocate for justice in their communities. We strive to create a TAG that is strong and diverse in its membership, and work actively to build an intersectional membership that reflects our communities.
What do teens have to say?
"TAG allowed me to have conversations with my family, friends, and teachers that I never imagined I could have.” -11th grader
“TAG encouraged me to go out and protest Roe v. Wade being overturned which made me feel empowered, and confident knowing that I could have conversations about what is going on today. Thank You!!" -11th grader
