DENVER, CO – On November 30 through December 2, in recognition of World AIDS Day, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (PPRM) will continue their commitment to raising awareness of HIV and AIDS across their four-state region. Free testing will be available at designated health centers, community spaces, and during special events.

“As a leader in the field of HIV prevention, PPRM is committed to implementing and expanding access to HIV testing and PrEP services,” said Martin Walker, Director of HIV Programs. “PPRM recognizes this unique moment in time during which we are in a position to work toward ultimately ending HIV. We stand in solidarity with the communities we serve, and renew our promise to be strong allies in the fight.”

PPRM is participating in a number of special events in honor of World AIDS Day:

  • PPRM will offer free HIV testing at their Glenwood Springs health center in partnership with AspenOUT on November 30.
  • MPower, a PPRM program based in Albuquerque, NM, will offer free HIV testing from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on November 30 and by appointment on December 1.
  • Free HIV testing will be offered between 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on December 2 at The Drop, PPRM’s new HIV drop-in community space, located next to their central Denver health center.

This is the sixth consecutive year PPRM will participate in this campaign. For more information about the program, and about these and other World AIDS Day events, call 1.800.230.PLAN or visit us online at www.pprm.org.
