Employee Testimony

"It’s such an honor to be a part of Planned Parenthood. I remember the day I saw the job posting in the paper – I couldn’t dial the number fast enough. I know how much the work we do matters. I get the chance to normalize the conversation about sexual health every day. And really, what could be more empowering for people than the ability to decide for themselves when and whether to start a family?"

Building a Culture of Workplace Equity & Inclusion

As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains is committed to building an equitable and inclusive organization that is representative of the communities we serve. We strive to create environments where every employee, patient, and visitor who walks through our doors is welcomed and cared for.

Here are some of the ways we live our workplace values:

  • We recognize and honor gender diversity. At PPRM, we encourage applicants of all gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations, and we strive to make sure our workplace is gender affirming. Every restroom in every PPRM facility is gender inclusive; we share our pronouns, and we will ask you to share yours; and our medical insurance benefit includes gender affirming care.
  • We name and address racial disparities in health care. In order for every person to have full control over their sexual and reproductive lives, we must work to identify and eradicate white supremacy in all its forms. PPRM supports initiatives that address all forms of oppression, and we believe that maintaining an explicit focus on racial equity is essential to advancing equity across our communities. Improving outcomes for Black, Latinx, and indigenous people will improve outcomes for everyone.

Why Work at PPRM

Many PPRM employees report high satisfaction from:

  • Days filled with meaningful work in a fun, fast-paced environment
  • Respectful and supportive team collaboration
  • Workplace culture that supports family life and self-care
  • Ongoing opportunities for training and development
  • Being part of a powerful movement ending abortion stigma
  • Getting to help shape the future of reproductive and sexual health through research and innovation

Volunteer Opportunities & Internships

Every year, volunteers and interns contribute over 16,000 hours to support PPRM's programs and services. As a volunteer, you receive appropriate, in-depth training and are treated as a professional.

Many internships and fellowships are also available, based on the needs of our organization and the needs of each student applicant. Opportunities are often available in health center services, public affairs, education, finance, human resources management, development, and marketing.
