Today marks Transgender Day of Visibility! It’s a time of reflection, celebration of Trans Joy, and taking in the wonderful media and acknowledgments that the Trans community has given to our communities. But, Transgender Day of Visibility is more than a date on the calendar—it's a time of recommitment.
Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains proudly stands in solidarity with the transgender community, not just on March 31st but every single day. We are committed to providing unwavering support and comprehensive care, ensuring that everyone has access to the services they need, regardless of gender identity, because everyone deserves to live their most authentic and healthy lives.
It is no secret that our beloved transgender communities are under attack. Our society has unfortunately demonstrated a willingness to legalize hatred and racism repeatedly. However, the reality of this beautiful community is one of love and acceptance. So, here at PPRM, we are committed to providing a safe haven. We're dedicated to ensuring nobody faces discrimination or violence because of who they are. Your body, your choices—no politician should get in the way of that.
Transgender and nonbinary folks deserve quality care, respect, and understanding. From cancer screenings to hormone therapy, we’re here to provide inclusive health care and education for all. By offering evidence-based gender-affirming care, we contribute to the overall well-being of our community. Providing this support reduces health disparities and has been shown to improve mental health and quality of life for transgender patients.
We are proud to offer gender-affirming hormone therapy at four of our health centers in Colorado and are working hard on expanding care to our entire region. It’s also exciting that in the world of virtual health care, we are keeping up with the times and also offer gender- affirming care and resources through our Virtual Call Center! We're proud to be a beacon of support and empowerment for the transgender and nonbinary community, because we’re here for you. No matter what.
