(Portland) ME- Steve Trombley, President/CEO of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE), announced that Megan Hannan of Bath has been hired as Public Affairs Director for Maine.

Ms. Hannan previously worked for the American Cancer Society, where she served as Director of Government Relations for 12 years and Director of Communications and Public Issues for three. In that time she gained a deep understanding of public policy, health care programs, and health insurance.  Not only does Ms. Hannan have strong coalition building skills, but also strong management and training skills.

"Megan is a policy expert in public health and health care.  She brings an impressive background in reproductive health program and policy," said Trombley. "We are very excited to have her at Planned Parenthood of Northern New England."

"I am thrilled to work for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England; it allows me to use my policy and grassroots experience to further an issue I am so passionate about – women's health," said Ms. Hannan.
