Letters & Phone-Calls to Officials

Do address Senators and Representatives as "Senator Smith" or "Representative Smith".

Do identify yourself as a constituent, taxpayer, voter, doctor, student, mother, teacher, etc.

Do include the bill number or name if you are writing about one.

Do use personal details or stories if possible.

Do call Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood for help if you need it. We've got fact sheets, statistics, and lots of people happy to assist you or proofread.

Do call the legislator to follow up on the letter if you wrote one.
