ANN ARBOR, Mich. –  Planned Parenthood of Michigan (PPMI) is proud to announce the launch of its virtual health center, an innovative initiative designed to expand access to sexual and reproductive health care services for patients across Michigan. The virtual health center represents a significant milestone in Planned Parenthood of Michigan's commitment to breaking down barriers to health care access. PPMI patients can now access birth control, emergency contraception, hormone therapy, and medication abortion through one simple-to-navigate virtual health center.

One of the primary goals of the virtual health center is to address the health care disparities faced by individuals in medically underserved communities. With limited access to transportation and trusted providers, many Michiganders face significant barriers to essential sexual and reproductive health care. PPMI’s virtual health center breaks down these barriers by removing obstacles such as traveling long distances, taking time off work, or arranging childcare. Patients can now fit health care appointments into their everyday lives.

"We are thrilled to launch Planned Parenthood of Michigan's virtual health center, a transformative step in our mission to make sexual and reproductive health care accessible to all,” said Paula Thornton Greear, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Michigan. “This innovative platform will break down geographical barriers and ensure that individuals in every corner of our state can receive the high-quality care they deserve. Through our virtual health center, we are revolutionizing the way health care is delivered, putting patients at the center and providing personalized, confidential care from the comfort of their homes. We proudly embrace technology to expand access and serve our community with compassion, expertise, and respect."

Planned Parenthood of Michigan's virtual health center ensures that patients receive the same level of personalized care and attention as they would during an in-person visit. The dedicated team of health care professionals is committed to offering comprehensive reproductive health services tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Planned Parenthood of Michigan's virtual health center is now live and accepting appointments. To learn more about the services offered or to schedule a consultation, individuals can visit ppmi.org/vhc.
