Gender-Affirming Hormone Therapy Information and Instructions

About Your Visit

For your first gender-affirming hormone therapy appointment with Planned Parenthood of Michigan, you must watch a video. Watching this video before your appointment will shorten the visit. If you do not watch before your visit, you will watch it while at the health center. If you would like to watch the video prior to your appointment, you can view it online.

Fees, Payment, and Insurance

  • If using insurance, please bring a photo ID and your insurance card to your appointment.
  • Many insurance plans, including Michigan Medicaid, are accepted. We also offer an income-based sliding fee scale for patients. All fees, including copays, are due at the time of service.
  • If you do not have insurance, please visit MI Bridges to determine if you are eligible for insurance through the State of Michigan.
  • If you have questions regarding what services are covered by your insurance, please contact your insurance company. We will bill your insurance for the services you receive where applicable.

Please call us at 800-230-PLAN (7526) with any questions.
