FRANKFORT, Ky. – Planned Parenthood Advocates of Indiana and Kentucky (PPAIK) and the American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky (ACLU-KY) are hosting a press conference and rally next week in the Capitol Rotunda.

Concerned Clergy for Choice – Kentucky and people of faith will gather at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2 for a press conference to show the support in the faith community for reproductive rights in the Commonwealth.

‘We ARE Kentucky’ Days of Action continues Thursday, Jan. 4. Hundreds of concerned Kentuckians have registered to rally in the Capitol Rotunda at 1 p.m. for a more equitable future for all people accessing reproductive health care.

“Thousands of Kentuckians believe that the laws passed by the General Assembly should make our Commonwealth safer, stronger, and healthier,” said Kate Miller, ACLU-KY’s Advocacy Director. “However, certain lawmakers are working to roll back the clock on how Kentuckians are treated, dictate to health care providers the medical advice they must offer, and place unnecessary and needlessly obstructive barriers between Kentuckians and the care they choose for their families. We will be working closely with our allies to oppose any attempt to restrict reproductive freedom.”

“The General Assembly will see a lot of us this session,” said Tamarra Wieder, Director of External Affairs for Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky. “It has been one long year of continued resisting and our base will not stop! Clergy, patients, supporters—Kentuckians will continue to stand up and show up for reproductive rights. We are Kentucky and we will prevail.”
