Yes, the Supreme Court’s ruling removed the federal constitutional right to abortion—that includes abortion procedures and the abortion pill/medication abortion.

You can donate to abortion funds that offer financial assistance to people traveling out of state for an abortion, give to Planned Parenthood or go to the website bansoff.org to share your story and get involved in the fight to get back our right to control our health, bodies, and futures. Is emergency contraception/EC/Plan B still legal?

Yes, emergency contraception is still legal. Emergency contraception reduces the risk of pregnancy. It is not the abortion pill and it will not end a pregnancy.

All forms of contraception are still legal. Planned Parenthood health centers are open and providing sexual and reproductive health care.

Can I still get an IUD? Is birth control still legal?

Yes, IUDs, emergency contraception, and all other forms of birth control are still legal. Planned Parenthood health centers are open and continue providing sexual and reproductive health care, including birth control, for the people and communities who rely on us.

Can minors get an IUD?

A minor’s ability to get birth control depends on state laws. In Texas, a minor needs a parent or guardian’s consent to get an IUD. In Louisiana, a minor can get an IUD without consent from a parent/guardian.
