National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers

This year on March 10, we’ll join fellow reproductive health, rights, and justice groups in celebrating National Abortion Provider Appreciation Day. On this day, we say thank you and express our gratitude for doctors, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and all health center staff who work tirelessly against immense stigma and pressure to provide health care to all who need it.

At Planned Parenthood, we trust patients to make their own, fully informed sexual and reproductive health care decisions, including abortion. And patients rely on our doctors -- not politicians -- to provide their expertise and help them make those private medical decisions, free from shame or stigma.

Our doctors at Planned Parenthood, as well as doctors at independent clinics across the country, are passionate, caring, skilled professionals who believe in the health, well-being, and dignity of the patients they see every day. Despite the ongoing political attacks on our health care and targeted attempts to shut down health centers, these individuals serve every patient with compassion and respect on a daily basis.
