Akron Community Back to School Health Fair!

There will be music, a food truck, games, giveaways, free STI/HIV tests, and sex education workshops in preparation for the 2017-18 school year. We provide non-judgmental, comprehensive reproductive health care and are committed to supporting the LGBTQ community.

When: Sunday, August 20, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Where: Akron Health Center, 444 W. Exchange Street in Akron


Three workshops will be offered for parents, young adults, and youth serving professionals.

  • Parents. Learn about the vital role healthy communication can play with your child, not only when discussing puberty and sex, but also in your daily interactions. (11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.)
  • Young Adults. Discuss the importance of consent and how it can positively impact the health of your relationship with your partner and peers. For high school and college-aged youth. (12:45 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.)
  • Youth Serving Professionals. Learn more about the types of sexual health questions students ask and how to answer them in a positive, impactful, and inclusive way. (2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.)

If you register and attend one of the workshops on August 20, you will also receive a $5.00 gift card.
