The year 2020 has given us unprecedented challenges including increased attacks on reproductive rights. But we are keenly aware that overcoming obstacles makes us stronger and reminds us of what we are truly thankful for: the people who believe in and support our mission, enabling our organization to help those who need it the most.

Today, we raise our ‘grateful glass’ to:

OUR STAFF

We couldn’t be prouder of our tremendous team that bravely serve our Delaware communities every day. Being on the front lines, caring for our patients, is an important part of keeping Delaware healthy. This year, we have also successfully launched the following services:

  • Gender Affirming Care
  • Hormone Therapy for transgender patients
  • Telehealth appointments
  • Awareness of the PPDirect app
  • Smoking Cessation

Whether their focus is in medicine, development, education, facilities, or administration, our staff are committed and dedicated to making an impactful difference in the lives of the people we serve.

OUR PATIENTS

Each day, we greet and take care of patients who put their trust in us. We never take that lightly. Their health is in our hands and we are grateful for the opportunity to meet their healthcare needs. Additionally, patients with health insurance can help support us by receiving their healthcare through us.

OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS

We could not provide the services we do without the partnerships of our service providers, who enable us to give comprehensive care to our patients. We are especially grateful to:

  • Christiana Care Healthcare System – our prenatal care partner, among other specialties.

  • Nemours Hospital for Children – for gender affirming care for teens.
  • Brandywine Counseling and Community Services – for their work against human trafficking, addiction services and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community.

OUR COMMUNITY

Their emotional and financial support during a tumultuous year is nothing short of remarkable:

  • Our virtual Chocolate and Champagne Festival raised $130K!

  • Supporters donated billboard space in 2020 (in Newark and Wilmington).

Other supporters donated masks for our healthcare staff.

OUR LEADERS

For taking risks and forging ahead with ideas for how we can always best care for our patients. These Delaware legislative candidates support our mission. We look forward to working with those who were elected. On a national level, we are thankful for the vision of PPFA’s new national president, Alexis McGill Johnson. She is a catalyst for social change and a warrior for justice and equity. We honor the passing of the legendary Ruth Bader Ginsburg, whose legacy will live on for generations to come. Her work on gender discrimination and equality forged a path that will forever have an imprint on the lives of women.

We may have a long road ahead to achieve all that we need to achieve to fully serve our patients and our communities, but with your support, we know we will continue to make progress.

Special Request: If you appreciate and support our staff, you can let them know by leaving a review on our Facebook page. Your feedback and experience are so powerful for our staff (and the public) to hear.
