The Connection, an educational program of PPCWNY based in Niagara Falls, helps to improve physical and emotional health, provides healthy food and personal hygiene products, and teaches vegetable gardening to youth in Niagara Falls. The Connection helps reduce food insecurity by providing free healthy cooking lessons and food to youth participants and advances the local food ecosystem through collaborative partnerships and food-related programming. The recently renovated Connection Café features a new kitchen with a commercial refrigerator, deep freezer, stove with a built-in air fryer, food warmers, slushy machine, new wood countertop, an overheard awning, and cabinets for added storage.

When Roe was overturned by the Supreme Court last June, PPCWNY saw an influx of patients seeking abortion care from out of state. Because of your support, our Syracuse location was able to quickly expand health center hours, meeting that increased demand for care. You also made sure that our abortion care navigator was available to help patients overcome obstacles to obtaining care. Thank you for making health care possible.

Throughout the 2022-2023 winter, teams of volunteers assembled thousands of Abortion Care Packages across Central and Western New York. Dedicated volunteers assembled care packages for patients receiving medication and in-clinic abortion care at PPCWNY. These packages are filled with a personal note from our volunteers and items that we hope will make our patients feel supported (stress balls, coloring pages and crayons, snacks, heating pads, and more). Everyone who needs an abortion deserves access to high-quality, affordable, compassionate care — and a pair of fluffy socks.
