Brighton/Henrietta Health Center

Without access, there is no choice. In support of our mission to provide access to care, Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York (PPCWNY) is pleased to share we anticipate opening our new health care facility in Henrietta in the second half of 2023. This health center will provide access to the greater Rochester community as well as south of the city, which is a health care desert. The Henrietta Town Board approved our special use permit application, allowing PPCWNY to move forward with plans to open a heath care facility on Jefferson Road in Henrietta. This decision comes after a months-long legal struggle, which began in June when the Town Board rejected PPCWNY’s special use permit application, despite meeting all zoning and land-use criteria under the town’s B1 Commercial District code.

PPCWNY plans to move out of its temporary location in Brighton/Henrietta into its new health center in Henrietta next year. We are prepared to continue to provide expert sexual and reproductive health care and services to the community with easier access to our patients and clients in the southern tier. At PPCWNY, we believe every person deserves unequivocal access to these resources, regardless of where they live.
