Update on Brighton-Henrietta Location

Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York (PPCWNY) has received approval from the New York State Department of Health (DOH) to remain in our temporary Brighton space for the foreseeable future. There is no end date to this approval and PPCWNY is required to send regular updates to the DOH on our progress on securing a permanent site. Our work to relocate to Henrietta continues. We believe the Henrietta Town Board’s decision to turn down our application for a special use permit was arbitrary and capricious and have filed a Section 78 to have a judge review the decision. It will take several months to go through this process. PPCWNY is also looking at several parallel paths to assure we can locate an expanded clinic location in this area. We are laser focused on providing expanded access to our patients and obtaining a permanent site for all our Brighton staff.
