Gender Affirming Health Care at PPCWNY

Just a few months ago, in August of 2022, PPCWNY only had one site that provided in-person transgender services, our Syracuse location. By January of 2023, three more health centers offered in-person gender affirming care: Brighton-Henrietta, Canandaigua, and Rochester. Batavia and West Seneca joined these four health centers in February and as of the end of March, all nine of our health centers will offer gender affirming care in-person. With the addition of telehealth care options, PPCWNY went from 98 scheduled appointments in August of 2022, to scheduling 196 appointments this past February of 2023. PPCWNY still has additional capacity to schedule additional appointments. When telehealth was the only option for individuals seeking transgender affirming health care visits, there was around a four week wait for appointments, now the wait time is less than five days.
