RESTORE Volunteer Advocates (Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Orleans or Wyoming Counties)
PPCWNY is recruiting volunteers to work with survivors of sexual assault in any of the counties served by RESTORE. Volunteer advocates answer hotline and hospital calls in the evenings and on weekends, provide emotional support to survivors, discuss options available, offer accompaniment to hospitals and provide support and information to significant others and family. This role requires completion of a 32-hour training, reliable transportation, and a one-year commitment. Volunteers are on call for 16-hour shifts, four times a month. Recruitment is underway for our next training, which will be held early this summer (dates TBA). Without the active participation, dedication and commitment of our volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to provide this important 24-hour service. Please help us spread the word! Those interested should contact us.

Pride Parade Marchers
Would love to have our volunteers participate in any of the Pride parades, held at a community nearest you. We will need a whole big crew of Pride marchers this year for large impact! Below are the dates to save for both the parade and festivals this year. More information to come!

  • Buffalo: Sunday, June 5
  • Batavia: Saturday, June 11
  • Syracuse: Saturday, June 25
  • Rochester: Saturday, July 16
