Health Center Relocations

Over the past two years, PPCWNY has been working to increase access for patients through relocations of two health centers (in Buffalo, Main Street to Amherst Steet, and Greece to Brighton-Henrietta). Both sites will provide double the family planning space, with increased space for in-clinic abortions as well. PPCWNY created a comprehensive work plan with input from across the affiliate to ensure there is a seamless transition for both patients and staff. The Buffalo location hopes to be serving patients as early as June 2022. The Brighton-Henrietta health center goal is January 2023. Location, to be announced.

The new Patient Navigator Program serving the Buffalo community has had tremendous success as a pilot. Patient navigators work closely with clinicians and patients to help guide patients through the complicated health care network. This program will expand with the move of the Buffalo health center. Once funding is secured, PPCWNY will expand the Patient Navigator Program throughout the affiliate’s 18-county service area.
