What We’ve Been Up To

Mural Unveiling at The Connection

On October 7, after years of hard work and planning, PPCWNY was proud to participate in the unveiling of Niagara Falls’ newest mural, Now’s the Time, on our building at The Connection! This beautiful piece was created by famed Western New York artist Chuck Tingley. Speakers at the event included our very own Shayla B. (Senior Manager of Outreach and Education), Chris S. (VP of Programs), and Ray C. (Health Education & Outreach Supervisor at The Connection). The mural centers around youth activism and is part of the NF Murals project. See further coverage of this event here: 'Now's The Time' mural unveiled in Niagara Falls (WGRZ).

PPCWNY Receives Women’s Bar Association’s President’s Award

On October 19, PPCWNY was presented with the President’s Award by the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, Western NY Chapter. Our organization was honored for the critical services we provide and our ongoing efforts to help people exercise agency over their own bodies and reproductive lives. Michelle Casey (CEO) and Marcy W. (RESTORE Attorney) accepted the award on behalf of all PPCWNY staff. As volunteers and a vital part of PPCWNY, we hope you are proud of this honor and the efforts you make every day to deliver on our mission!

Development Events

Members of PPCWNY’s Executive Leadership, Development, and Grants teams recently worked with some of our long-time supporters and donors to hold Development events in Buffalo and Rochester. We had a great time connecting with everyone who was able to attend and shared about the work we have been leading and supporting. Thank you to everyone who was able to join us. It was great to see you in person and we appreciate you supporting our mission!

Health Center Updates

Buffalo

Time flies -- Buffalo staff have been at the new health center/admin offices on East Amherst Street for over a year now! To mark the new site’s first anniversary, we wanted to share some pictures of the space and announce that the expanded Buffalo health center has increased PPCWNY’s capacity to provide family planning services by 18%!

Brighton

The Brighton Town Planning Board approved the project plan for our new health center in Brighton last month! This new clinic will have double the family planning space of our former Greece location. A sneak peek of what the site will look like is in an artistic rendering above. We will keep you updated as this project moves forward.
