CINCINNATI, OHIO—After the landmark, 56 percent, definitive victory for abortion rights in Ohio yesterday, with millions of Ohioans voting to pass Issue 1 the Right to Reproductive Freedom amendment, Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region released the following statement:

“This result is a historic win and a step forward for the lives and health of all Ohioans. Yesterday we stood together to say: ‘Access to reproductive health services, including abortion care, must be protected.’”

“Our community relies on Planned Parenthood to be a safe and compassionate haven for their health care and education needs — no matter what. We thank all who showed up to support abortion access, ensuring that right is now guaranteed by the Ohio Constitution.”

“Today we celebrate this victory for our patients and our community.
