Sunnen Family Library

The Sunnen Family Library offers parents, students, educators and medical professionals one of the most extensive collections of sexuality education resources in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The Sunnen Family Library is supported in part by a generous grant from the Sunnen Foundation.

We hope this collection offers our community the chance to dig deeper into the history of the movement for reproductive health care as well as the chance to access more contemporary resources. It is our pleasure to make available a collection of books for families and kids discussing health, bodies, and families.

Contemporary Collection

With our broader understanding of reproductive justice we have begun collecting items from top authors in the fields of feminism, contemporary Black politics, reproductive technologies, queer theory, disability activism, and gender expansive family building.

Historical Collection

The items in this collection range from Margaret Sanger’s own writings to pieces that are only a few years old, but may no longer represent current values or best practices.

Children & Youth Collection

This collection holds books for youth and their parents concerning families, bodies, relationships, and health.

Models & Educator Kits

Our anatomy, birth control, and pregnancy education models are available to the community for rental.
