As a volunteer you will have many diverse opportunities within our agency. We have positions in the health center as well as behind the scenes activities including committees and clerical work. All volunteer positions require some type of commitment and training. You must be 18 years old or older and obtain a TB/Rubella test before working with patients in the health center.
The Process and Requirements
We ask that all volunteers commit to 3-5 hours a week for a minimum of 6 months. You must be 16 years or older and minors under the age of 18 must have parental permission to volunteer at Six Rivers Planned Parenthood.
Please take the time to look at the volunteer positions and then check in with our Volunteer Coordinator for availability. An application will be sent to you upon request. Once received, we will review your application, request an interview, and invite you to attend our annual Spring orientation or try to match you with an immediate open position.
Our volunteer orientation takes place every Spring, once a week for approximately 6 weeks. All health center volunteers will be required to complete this orientation. Committee members, on-call volunteers, and clerical volunteers are invited to attend but it is not necessary.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at (707) 442-2961.
