WHAT’S THE PURPOSE OF THE STUDY?

The BEAM Health Study will test some different approaches that aim to help young adults make healthy decisions. Some of these approaches include using videos, interactive facilitator-led video conference sessions, and interactions with app-based prompts.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Your opinions are extremely important and will help us learn more about what works in health programs for young people like you!

Additionally, participants will receive a $30 gift card for completing a questionnaire when they enroll, plus up to $120 in gift cards for completing three follow-up questionnaires over the next seven months - up to $150 in total!

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?

The study is voluntary and completely virtual (no in-person sessions are required) – it involves:

  • Completing a short online screening form on your smartphone or another device
  • Talking to study staff over telephone and/or video chat
  • Completing four online questionnaires over the next seven months
WHO IS OPERATING THE STUDY?

The Policy & Research Group is operating the study in collaboration with Planned Parenthood and Boston Children’s Hospital.
