Gap Fund

Despite the Title X Gag Rule, PPWP’s doors will stay open at all of our health centers.

Soon after the introduction of the Title X Gag Rule PPWP began working with our supporters to establish a temporary Gap Fund that would provide the resources needed so that we can limit the harmful impact of this policy and ensure that anyone in need can continue to have access to affordable services at PPWP.  Specifically, the Gap Fund will be used to help those who depend on PPWP for their birth control, cancer screenings and STI testing and treatment services by continuing to provide the same high-level of care. The Gap Fund ensures that our patients receive this care at the same affordable prices.

More information on the specifics of the gag rule can be found here.

To ensure that services continue for the next two fiscal years (July  1 - June 30), we need to raise $1,200,000 for our Gap Fund.  This fund not only secures affordable care for a patient in need but also shows the Trump-Pence administration that they will not close our doors. It shows that access to affordable reproductive care for all is important to western Pennsylvanians.  You can contribute to the fund here.
