In October 2017, Planned Parenthood celebrated our 101-year anniversary. Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger on the revolutionary idea that women should have the information and access to the care that they needed to fulfill their dreams.

Today, Planned Parenthood is a trusted health care provider, an informed educator, a passionate advocate, and a global partner helping similar organizations around the world. Planned Parenthood delivers vital reproductive health care, sex education, and information to millions of women, men, and young people worldwide.

The heart of Planned Parenthood is in the local community. Our 56 unique, locally governed affiliates nationwide operate local health centers that reflect the diverse needs of their communities.

Planned Parenthood Association of Utah (PPAU) has been one of those local affiliates since 1970—establishing yourselves as the premier provider of quality reproductive health care and education to Utahns across the state. PPAU has eight health centers in Logan, Ogden, Salt Lake, West Valley, South Jordan, Orem, and St. George with 11 rural contract family planning providers.

Learn more about PPAU’s history in our centennial video.
