Getting Involved with Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood!

There is uncertainty ahead of us and we are facing renewed attacks. But, one thing is for sure — we will never back down, and we will never stop fighting to make sure that Planned Parenthood patients are able to access the care they need.

Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood has lots of upcoming events that you can get involved with! Check back with us as this list changes!

Our upcoming events include:

  •  Submit your official comment on the Gag Rule.

We need to show just how many people oppose this dangerous policy — and right now is our chance. The administration will be accepting comments, and every single one of them matters.

  •  Send your Senator a message to REJECT any Supreme Court Nominee

Send your senators a message NOW telling them to REJECT any Supreme Court nominee who will take away our right to safe and legal abortion. Most women in America were born after Roe v. Wade was decided. It's unimaginable to think that people could have less freedom than our mothers and grandmothers did. But that's exactly what will happen if we let Trump hand a lifetime appointment to another extreme judge who will deny us the rights we fought so hard to win.

  • Teach-in: Crisis Pregnacy Centers and Escort Training. Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood is continuing our popular “Teach-In” series dedicated to equipping our supporters with the most up to date information on various topics facing Planned Parenthood and the communities we serve throughout the months and years ahead.  Join us on Tuesday, August 7th 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at our Troy Health Center for a 2 part education into action event. The evening will begin with a teach-in providing critical information regarding the local impacts of Crisis Pregnancy Centers and what can be done. RSVP HERE.
  • Trapped Film Screening: Join us for a film screening of “Trapped,” a documentary by Dawn Porter featuring our Women’s Leadership Circle Luncheon keynote speaker Dr. Willie J. Parker. “Trapped” takes a look at U.S. reproductive health clinics and their fight to keep their doors open. For more information, head to http://www.trappeddocumentary.com/. We hope you can join us for FREE pizza and a movie on Tuesday, September 11 at 6 PM - 8 PM. RSVP HERE.

  • FASO FRIDAY in Kinderhook on Friday
Join Planned Parenthood and Indivisible Chatham NY together with other local activist groups and individuals for an Empty Chair Town Hall! Supporters of Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood and members of Green River Indivisible and ICNY will conduct a town hall meeting on the Kinderhook lawn just opposite Congressman Faso’s office in the Village of Kinderhook.
